Tags microwaves (Microwave RFID) are "Semi-passive".
Semi-Passive : tag possessing its own source of energy (incorporated battery). The emitted waves are received by the system of reading and the answer emitted by a system of echo for the initial wave: «semi-passive backscatter ". This technique allows to prolong the life of the battery.
